Kansas health officials have issued a boil water advisory for the City of Conway Springs, in Sumner County.
The advisory was issued because of a water line break that caused a drop in water pressure in the system. That creates a risk of bacterial contamination. The advisory will be in effect until further notice.
People who use the Conway Springs water system are urged to boil water for one minute before drinking or food preparation. They should dispose of ice cubes and avoid using ice from an automatic icemaker. If tap water appears dirty, run the water until it clears.
