Police said a 72-year-old woman was injured Saturday evening in an accidental shooting at a home in Wichita.

Officers were called to a home in the 200 block of South Minneapolis, near Douglas and I-135, around 7 p.m.  They found a woman inside the home with a gunshot wound to her face.  The victim was taken to a hospital and a gun was recovered at the home.

Police learned that the woman was in the home with her 11-year-old great-nephew.  The boy showed her a gun and it went off, leaving the woman with a facial injury.  The great-nephew left the home and police later found him in the 1800 block of East English, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Police said the gun had been reported stolen, and they are still investigating.
