Three people died from injuries sustained after a crash in Pratty County Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the incident happened just before 3 p.m. on K-61, about two miles north of Preston. The KHP said a vehicle traveling south on K-61 crossed the center line and hit another vehicle heading northbound head-on. The drivers of both vehicles along with a juvenile passenger northbound vehicle died.
The drivers were identified as 32-year-old William Fowler Stevens, of Woodward, Oklahoma and 30-year-old Joshua Jamal Townsell, of Omaha, Nebraska. The juvenile passenger was not identified.
It’s not known what cause the first vehicle to cross the center line. The crash is under investigation.
