Police have identified the woman who was killed Monday evening in a hit-and-run incident at a north Wichita intersection.
Officers said 48-year-old Kristine Sheffield of Wichita was struck by a motorcycle while crossing the street at 11th and Broadway. The motorcycle left the scene, but a 21-year-old man later turned himself in to police.
The man was booked into jail for unintentional but reckless second degree murder, leaving the scene of an accident, and not having a valid driver’s license.
