Actress Raquel Welch is dead at the age of 82. According to her family, she died Wednesday morning after a brief illness.
Welch is known for her roles in “Fantastic Voyage” and “One Million Years B.C.” More recently, she appeared in the hit comedy film “Legally Blonde” in 2001. She got her start as a spokesmodel for the TV variety series “Hollywood Palace” and she had a small role in the Elvis Presley film “Roustabout” in 1964.
Welch won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in “The Three Musketeers” in 1974.
