Wednesday’s meeting of the Sedgwick County Commission was the final one for District 4 Commissioner Lacey Cruse, and she was recognized at the meeting for her accomplishments on behalf of county residents.

Cruse expressed thanks to supporters and citizens who believed in her.  She said the job of County Commissioner is a huge job and a taxing job, and she did her best to set a good example.  She said she will continue to support organizations like the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition and she will continue to advocate for issues to deal with homelessness.

Ryan Baty will take the oath of office on Sunday, January 8th as the new District 4 Commissioner, along with District 1 Commissioner Pete Meitzner and District 5 Commissioner Jim Howell, who will begin new terms in office.
