During a recent interview with Cowboys & Indians, country legend George Strait mentioned his plans to release a new album ‘soon.’ Said Strait: “I like making records and plan on doing another one soon. I’m narrowing down my song choices now.” The last album that Strait released was Honky Tonk Time Machine in 2019, featuring hits such as “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar,” “Two More Wishes,” and “God and Country Music.”
Strait shared that he attributes his long-term success to believing in his music, as well as working with the best in the business to create new music. Said Strait: “A great melody can sell a song the best. A great lyric with a lousy melody maybe not so much, but a great lyric along with a great melody is obviously what you’re looking to create.”
Strait will also be hitting the road in 2023, performing six stadium shows across the country beginning in May with support from Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town.
