One person was found dead after an early morning house fire in Winfield.
Firefighters were called to a home in the 100 block of North Minnesota around 8:20 Wednesday morning. Crews from Winfield, Arkansas City, Udall and Burden worked to get the fire out, and an unidentified person was found inside.
The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office is working with Winfield police and fire officials on the investigation. No other details have been released.
