A man accused of hitting and killing a Wichita man with a vehicle last October at Arrowhead Stadium, faces new charges in Linn County, Kan.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Thomas Weyer earlier this month for allegedly firing a gun at an occupied vehicle on Nov. 1st.
Authorities said a person called the Sheriff’s Office around 11:35 p.m. on the Nov. 1st saying they were driving southbound on US-69 near Pleasanton when a vehicle near them began shooting. The caller said the shots struck their vehicle and disabled it.
Weyer then allegedly left the vehicle he was in and ran toward the Pleasanton area.
Police located Weyer on Nov. 2nd near a Dollar General in Pleasanton and took him into custody. The gun used in the incident was also recovered. Both Weyer and the driver of the vehicle he was in were booked into the Linn County Jail.
Weyer was already scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16th in connection to the deadly Jackson County crash that killed 66-year-old Steven Hickle of Wichita.
