One worker was killed and two others were injured when a bridge under construction collapsed near Kansas City, Missouri.
The collapse was reported around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at a bridge near Grove Road and Northeast 148th Street, east of Kearney, Missouri. The bridge was being constructed over a creek.
Clay County, Missouri officials said three workers were trapped after the collapse. One was killed while two others had minor injuries and were able to crawl out of the rubble.
