Always great to catch up with my friend Jay Allen – man, what a journey his life is.  In my chat with Jay we talked about his Mom, The Wedding 1.0 and 2.0, The Voice and more.

Jay Allen has had a voice for years.  Started singing and playing at a young age growing up in Iowa.  Jay Allen has learned the power of music firsthand. Inspired by his mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s, Allen wrote his original song “Blank Stares.” A video of him performing the song with his mother on stage went viral and garnered over 500 million views on Facebook. His mother has since passed, but Allen continues to be an advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, and “Blank Stares” has gone on to raise millions of dollars to help fight the disease.

Allen currently lives in Nashville and is set to marry Kylie Morgan on Nov. 27th of this year.  It was supposed to be October 1st by mother nature had other plans.

So, while they plan to get married now in late November, all eyes are on Jay Allen and his journey on NBC’s “The Voice”, where he most recently survived the battle rounds in the most dramatic fashion.
