Actress Angela Lansbury is dead at the age of 96. She’s known for her roles in “Murder, She Wrote” and voicing Mrs. Potts in “Beauty and the Beast.” Her family announced she died peacefully at her home in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Lansbury was just days away from her 97th birthday. She’ll make an appearance as herself in the upcoming Netflix film “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story,” which releases on December 23rd.
Lansbury was also known for roles in films like “The Manchurian Candidate” and “Bedknobs and Broomsticks.” She won Tony awards for her work on Broadway in shows like “Mame” (1966), “Dear World” (1969), “Gypsy” (1975) and “Sweeney Todd” (1979).
