Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran Perry Steed who just finished a 15,000 mile motorcycle ride with a purpose.  Perry Steed left his home in Deleware on May 20th with a goal to ride across the 48 contiguous states, but it was more than that. He also had a mission to pick up the remains of two brothers in arms who took their own lives after serving our country. One was in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, and the other in San Luis Obispo, California. Perry says the mission was to gather the remains and spread them upon the hallowed sands of Sicily Drop Zone at Fort Bragg. Along the way, he says he learned some valuable lessons when sharing stories with people. Perry has his own organization called Operation: Purpose to spread awareness about veterans struggling with mental health issues.  Thank you Perry for being a helper and THANK YOU for your service.
