The FBI is investigating any possible links between the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol and the man accused of trying to break into the Bureau’s Cincinnati field office on Thursday.
Ricky Shiffer claimed on his Truth Social account that he was in Washington on January 6th. Shiffer also mentioned this week’s FBI search of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home in social media posts. He posted a “call to arms,” telling people to buy guns and be ready for combat, and to kill FBI agents on sight.
Police shot and killed Shiffer following a standoff after the armed man fired a nail gun and brandished a rifle at the FBI Cincinnati field office.
