The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened southeast of Andover.
The sheriff’s office said the crash was reported around midnight early Friday in the 13000 block of Southwest 120th, near Four-Mile Creek.
Officials said the vehicle went off road and became partially submerged in the creek. The 17 year old driver was able to escape, but a passenger was still inside.
Divers from the Augusta Department of Safety said that 18-year-old Ethan Babcock of Andover was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
