Ascension Via Christi’s 41st Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament to fund oncology support and audiology equipment will return to its original, pre-pandemic timing.
This year’s tournament will be on Friday, Sept. 16th, at the Crestview Country Club.
Proceeds from the 2022 tournament will go to patient support for Oncology patients and provide new equipment for Ascension Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital’s Audiology department.
The patient support funds will help pay for massages for hospitalized patients receiving care in the dedicated cancer wing at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis; patient participation in inpatient and outpatient Cancer Wellness programs; and patient transportation, lodging and other healthcare-related expenses not covered by insurance.
The Audiology department will use its funding to replace its current 15-year-old rotary chair with a more versatile system that can be used during the patient’s entire balance assessment.
