The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect in connection to the death of 68 year old Richard Diehl.
Deputies were called to an address in La Harpe on Tuesday morning, where they found Diehl’s body in a shop outside his home. An autopsy determined that his death was a homicide.
A 78 year old man was arrested at a residence in La Harpe on Friday evening on suspicion of first-degree murder. He was taken into custody without incident and was then booked into the Allen County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
