Wichita’s Exploration Place museum is opening a new $1.5 million permanent exhibit that encourages health education and career development.
The exhibit, called Health Inside Out, will feature 16 interactive experiences and it includes a real EMS helicopter, a virtual rollercoaster and a “Whack-A-Virus” experience.
Kansas Lieutenant Governor David Toland will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the exhibit at 4 p.m. Tuesday. The ceremony will also feature comments from Exploration Place president and CEO Adam Smith, and Dr. Garold Minns, dean of the KU School of Medicine in Wichita.
The exhibit will open to the public on April 20th.
