The organization that produces the Wichita River Festival has announced the selection of a new president and CEO. Nancy Duling will take office on February 14th at Wichita Festivals, Incorporated.
Duling has worked at Wichita Festivals in the past as a director of events, and she has also been involved with a number of organizations and agencies that include GraceMed Health Clinic, The Kansas Children’s Service League, and the Wichita Convention and Visitors Bureau.
WFI board chairman Jeff McCausland said in a press release that Duling’s knowledge of fundraising and management of nonprofits will be instrumental in rebuilding the staff after the pandemic. Duling said that she is looking forward to working with the board and staff, stating, “As we look forward to emerging as a community from what has been a challenging past couple of years, our events can play an enormous role in renewing public life. I look forward to working with the board, staff, sponsors and volunteers to create events that will contribute to that renewal.”
Wichita Festivals is getting ready for the 50th Riverfest celebration this summer.
