Evergy reported around 4,000 customers without power in northeast Wichita late Tuesday afternoon.

There was a report of a blown transformer in the area of 21st and Woodlawn, and outages were reported from Oliver to Rock Road, between Central and 29th Street North.

Traffic signals were out at 21st and Woodlawn and other intersections.

Crews were expecting to have power restored around 6:45 p.m.
