The Wichita Public Library has gradually introduced its “Library of Things” this summer, with many non-traditional materials available for customers to borrow.
The Library of Things includes:
- Radon detectors to help customers test radon levels in their homes or businesses
- Telescopes for customers to explore the stars and space, and comes with several astronomy guides
- Hotspots provide digital access to customers unable to receive internet access
The Library has also added “STEAM To Go! Kits” for children aged 4+ that explore different STEAM-related topics. Each kit comes with several activities and a book.
Library of Thing materials are available for a 14-day time period but renewals are available. More information can be found here.
