Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the organization Farmer Veteran Coalition. The group is working very hard to create the next generation of farmers and food leaders in this country by employing Veterans. The FVC is the largest non-profit that helps Veterans find careers in agriculture. Whether full or part-time, working for someone or self-employed, the goal is to empower and serve as many Veterans as possible. Their work includes a Farmer Veteran Fellowship fund, farm financing, business resources, and education. Veteran farmers can also be certified to use the official Veteran label ‘Homegrown by Heroes’ on their products. They work with Veterans all across the country including right here in Kansas. Thank you Farmer Veteran Coalition for guiding our Veterans and to those Veterans THANK YOU for your service.
