Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Marine Corps Veteran and Purple Heart recipient Brian Dunn. Brian is the 16th member of his family to serve in the military and one day while in Iraq, he was injured by an IED. He suffered a broken jaw, torn ligaments in his shoulder, fractured vertebrae and a perforated right eardrum. Dunn says his wife and 5 kids have been though so much as a family, so many ups and downs and uncertain times, even when it comes to putting a roof over their heads. This is where the organization Building Homes for Heroes comes in a long with JP Morgan Chase, Lowes and Advanced Auto Parts, because just a few days ago Brian and his family received the keys to their brand new, mortgage free home.
