On Wednesday, a Wichita man who pleaded guilty to robbing a 65 year old woman in the 500 block of East Dewey on August 11th, 2019, has been sentenced by a Sedgwick COunty judge to 114 months in prison.
53 year old Curlie Guiden pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and two counts of aggravated assault. He was found holding a pillowcase in a the doorway of the woman’s home as she was entering. Guiden then pushed her to the ground and stole her vehicle, nearly striking her with it twice.
The car was eventually found in a nearby parking lot, and investigators later matched fingerprints collected at the scene to Guiden.
Guiden will be placed on 24 months post-release after his prison sentence is completed.
