Newly elected Kansas Senator Roger Marshall has joined fellow Republican Senators in contesting the presidential election results.

In a statement made on Facebook, Marshall said:

“I am not confident this past presidential election was conducted in a manner that is fully consistent with state and federal law.”

He is joined by 10 other Senate Republicans, including Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Congress meets next week (Jan. 6th) to certify the Electoral College results.
