More solar farms planned in Kansas

More facilities are being planned to provide solar power in Kansas.

The Kansas Cooperative Sun Power Program will have two new farms, one in Harvey County and the other in Butler County.   They will be operated by the Butler Electric Cooperative, which already has a solar farm in Rose Hill.

The 25-year program is looking to build more than 20 megawatts of solar power along 800 miles of land in Kansas.   The construction will be done in phases during 2021 and 2022.
