Kansas governor Laura Kelly has announced a new customer service hotline and email address for people who have been affected by the recent duplicate payments.
The Department of Labor recently sent duplicate payments totaling $7 million to people who had filed unemployment claims, and the department then tried to call back the payments even though the governor’s office told them not to. That led to overdrawn bank accounts for a number of people.
Governor Kelly said steps are being taken to improve services from the department. She announced the following resources:

People with questions about the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance or Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation that are not related to the duplicate payments can use the Department of Labor web site and other resources:
