Police in Ellsworth are investigating a threat that was made Thursday against the Junior/Senior High School.
Police chief Emil Halfhill said in a statement that a student made a vocal threat against the school, and the student was removed from the building, but it was later determined that the threat was not credible.
The chief said there will be extra patrols in and around the school to watch the situation. Anyone with questions is asked to contact Ellsworth Police at 785-472-5110.
