Textron to become part of WSU’s Innovation Campus

Textron Aviation and Wichita State University have announced an agreement for a facility on the Innovation Campus at 17th and Oliver.

Around 40 Textron employees will share a 5,000 square-foot space with Wichita State students to work on product innovation and programs to help students with career opportunities in general aviation.

Textron has had an ongoing relationship with WSU’s National Institute for Aviation Research.   In a new facility on the Innovation Campus, the company will conduct research and development on additive manufacturing, parts casting and electrical design.
