A Sac and Fox police officer was found dead Wednesday morning inside a patrol vehicle. He has now been identified as 43-year-old Kirby Robidioux.
An Iowa Tribal Police officer made the discovery around 6 a.m. in Brown County, in far northeast Kansas. Robidioux was on duty and law enforcement officers began searching for him after he did not respond to dispatchers on a routine radio check. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to ask for their assistance investigating the officer’s death.
The KBI says foul play is not suspected, but they are still looking into the circumstances of the officer’s death.
