The woman who died following a crash on North Webb Road Monday afternoon has been identified as 81-year-old Treva Phillips.
It happened shortly before 2 p.m. near 37th Street North. Phillips was a passenger in a red Chevy Cavalier that was northbound on Webb. The 34-year-old driver of the car made a left turn into a parking lot, striking a silver Ford Focus that was traveling southbound on Webb.
Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the the two vehicles were taken by EMS to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
Wichita Police say they are still investigating the crash and will present the case to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office who will decide if any charges will be filed.
