A semi hauling cattle overturned on a highway south of Kingman early Thursday, and the driver was taken to a hospital.
The crash was reported around 3:20 a.m. on Kansas Highway 14 near mile marker 70. and Kingman EMS and rescue crews found the driver pinned in the cab. Sedgwick County Heavy Rescue was called in to help at the scene, along with Kansas Department of Transportation officials, the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Cheney Animal Clinic, and other agencies.
Crews were able to round up the cattle and begin cleanup activities. Highway 14 was closed in both directions for hours after the crash.
